I'm Louis, a local floor fitter. I specialise in glue-down LVT and vinyl, and I do the floor prep myself, DPM and screeding, so your new floor goes down flat and stays that way.

Luxury vinyl tile and plank, fully bonded to the floor for a solid, quiet finish that lasts.

Glue-down only, no click systems

Why glue-down and not click? I no longer fit click LVT. Its click-lock edges can snap with normal everyday use, and it simply isn't as hard-wearing as glue-down LVT. I truly believe click LVT is an inferior product, so I only fit flooring I can stand behind.

Sheet vinyl fitted neat and tight. Ideal for kitchens, bathrooms and hallways.

DPM (damp proof membrane)

Where a floor needs protecting from moisture, a DPM goes down before anything else.

Screeding & levelling

Prime, then screed. Uneven or rough floors brought flat and smooth, ready for LVT or vinyl.

Bare floor
Old floor up, back to the concrete. Checked for damp, dips and high spots before anything else.

Prime & prep
Subfloor primed and prepped. Where damp is an issue a DPM goes down first.

Screed poured
Levelling compound poured and spread so the whole floor is flat and smooth.

Levelled & set
A flat, solid base. Glue-down LVT shows every bump, so this is the part that matters.

Laying the planks
Planks glued down tight to the levelled floor, row by row.

Finished
Done: dark grey oak-effect plank, flat and solid underfoot.

I also fit floors in rental properties and student lets for landlords and letting agents: floor replacements room by room, such as bathrooms and bedrooms, or whole properties, with screeding where it's needed. There's a choice of hard-wearing felt-back vinyl styles, and I'll order it in.
